About
My primary research interests combine social psychology with cognitive science (mental simulation, distance estimation, and language comprehension). I am also interested in ethnic and sexual minority depictions in popular media, with special interest in facial prominence. Research involving print media (magazines, newspapers, and billboards), film, and television.
I currently have two distinct lines of research: (1) examining the underlying spatial framework of social relationships using distance estimation tasks in reduced-cue environments and (2) examining how occupationally diverse humans are depicted in print and electronic media.
